Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Orange Beach’s signature school-benefit gala returns this weekend with a clear mission and a familiar venue. The Makos Academics, Arts and Athletics Club (MAAAC) will stage its sixth annual Gala at Perdido Beach Resort, continuing an event that helps fund scholarships for Orange Beach students. Organizers expect an evening built around community support, with food, music and a silent auction anchoring the program. The gala’s growth reflects steady backing for Orange Beach City Schools and the desire to sustain student opportunities in the coming year.

The event is set for Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 5:30 to 11 p.m. in the Perdido Beach Resort Grand Ballroom, 27200 Perdido Beach Blvd., Orange Beach. Last-minute tickets remain available at
OB MAAAC Website.

Proceeds from the evening go directly to MAAAC scholarships for graduating seniors at Orange Beach Middle and High School. The fundraiser has become a reliable pipeline of support for academics, arts and athletics as the new school year approaches, with local businesses and residents using the gala to keep resources focused on hometown students.

Attendees can expect an elegant evening with live music, food and drinks, and various silent-auction items. With the sixth year underway, organizers say the focus is straightforward—turn a community night out into concrete help for seniors preparing for college and careers. For those making late plans, ticket buyers are encouraged to secure seats online and be ready to bid early once doors open.
