(OBA®) - The following information is current as of 09/20/2020 at 4:00pm (***please note changes***):
⚠️ Please only dial 9-1-1 if you have a LIFE THREATENING emergency. Non-emergency calls should be routed to the Baldwin County EMA at 251-972-6807.
⚠️ Baldwin EMC is still working to restore power. Many parts of the island now have power restored, but the crisis is far from over.
⚠️ Commodity distribution is continuing but has moved to the Island Church on Canal Road at 25550 Canal Road.
⚠️ The Recreation Center is open for displaced families overnight and for anyone needing shower or other comfort needs.
For showers, enter through the commodity line and you will be directed to the parking area.
Any displaced families or individuals needing transportation please call 251-981-7836.
⚠️ Food distribution for CITIZENS AND CONTRACTORS will be at the Orange Beach Sportsplex located at 4385 William Silvers Parkway effective immediately. ***Citizens and contractors should no longer go to the Orange Beach Recreation Center for food distribution***
Food distribution for CITY EMPLOYEES, FIRST RESPONDERS, AND DISPLACED FAMILIES STAYING AT THE REC CENTER will be at the Orange Beach Community Center located at 27235 Canal Rd. Enter off of Canal Road west of the Community Center.
- Breakfast: 7am to 10am
- Lunch: 11am to 3pm
- Dinner: 4pm to pm

⚠️ A temporary drop-off site for hazardous materials has been established at Orange Beach Public Works on William Silvers Parkway. Items that can be accepted between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. include contaminated fuel and oil in small quantities as well as sealed containers of various chemicals and paint, tires, charged or empty gas cylinders such as Freon, propane etc.
The city hopes to have curbside pickup service of these hazmat items running later in the week, by the debris pickup contractor, but for those wanting to remove it now, this is the temporary arrangement.
