LifeSouth Bloodmobile Heads to Foley Farmers Market This Weekend
Donors must be 16 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds, and bring a photo ID
Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is rolling its Bloodmobile into Foley this weekend for a community blood drive. The event will be held at the Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermen's Market. Every donor will receive a free t-shirt as a token of appreciation. All donors will also receive a free cholesterol screening.
The blood drive is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Bloodmobile will be parked at 781 Farmers Market Lane in Foley, Alabama. Residents visiting the market that day are encouraged to look for the Bloodmobile on-site.
To be eligible to donate, a person must be at least 16 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds. A valid photo ID is also required at check-in. Anyone who is exactly 16 years old must bring written parental permission before they are allowed to give blood.
In addition to the free t-shirt, all donors will receive a recognition item from LifeSouth Community Blood Centers. The free cholesterol screening adds extra value for those who take the time to donate. These benefits are offered to encourage more community members to step up and donate.
