Gulf Shores, Ala. – (OBA) – The Orange Beach Invasion Car and Truck Show is set to return to The Wharf this weekend, bringing automotive enthusiasts and tourists to the Gulf Coast. The Gulf Shores Police Department (GSPD) has issued a public notice emphasizing safety and law enforcement efforts throughout the city.

The city of Gulf Shores is dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for both visitors and residents. With large crowds expected, the police department has announced increased law enforcement presence to ensure a smooth and secure event. Officers will be patrolling the streets with additional resources deployed to monitor traffic, pedestrian safety, and compliance with state and local laws.

In their official notice, GSPD extended a warm welcome to all guests, acknowledging the city’s commitment to hospitality while maintaining a strong focus on public safety. Event participants and attendees are encouraged to respect traffic regulations and city ordinances to avoid any legal issues.

Increased Enforcement of Traffic and Vehicle Laws

In addition to their standard efforts against underage drinking, DUI offenses, and illegal drug use, the Gulf Shores Police Department has outlined specific state and local laws that will be strictly enforced during the event. The following violations will receive heightened attention:

  • Use of Restricted Lamps on Vehicles (32-5-241): Flashing lights on vehicles are prohibited.
  • Improper Lights (32-5A-240): Vehicles with undercarriage lights or headlights exceeding 54 inches from the center of the road will face penalties.
  • Improper Muffler (32-5A-216): Excessive vehicle noise or smoke emissions will not be tolerated.
  • Obstructed Windshield (32-5-215): Vehicles with illegal window tint or excessive stickers will be subject to enforcement.
  • Unreasonable Noise or Vibration (Sec. 15-1): Loud music and disruptive noise levels from vehicles will be addressed.
  • Motor Vehicle Operation (Sec. 13A-11-300): Burnouts, donuts, and street racing are strictly prohibited.

The department reminds participants that just because a modification is installed on a vehicle does not mean it is legal in Gulf Shores. Attendees are urged to check their vehicles for compliance before arriving at the event to avoid citations or fines.
