Free Mental Wellness Platform Now Available for All Alabamians
The platform helps users manage stress, anxiety, and more. Tools are organized by condition for quick, easy access.

A new online tool is now available to help Alabamians improve their mental wellness. CredibleMind, a free digital platform, offers personalized self-care resources to anyone in the state. It aims to close the gap between those seeking help and the shortage of mental health professionals. The program is completely anonymous, easy to use, and available right away.
CredibleMind officially launched in Alabama in May 2025. It was created through a partnership with the Alabama Department of Public Health, the Alabama Department of Mental Health, and the health departments in Jefferson and Mobile counties.
State Health Officer Dr. Scott Harris said the mental health strain caused by COVID-19 showed just how wide the gap is between the number of people needing help and the number of professionals available to assist them.
Jefferson County Health Officer Dr. David Hicks said the platform supports early intervention and prevention. He believes the free, simple tools provided by CredibleMind will help remove barriers and reduce stigma around mental health care.
Mobile County Health Officer Dr. Kevin Michaels added that CredibleMind organizes help by topic or condition, so people can easily find resources about stress, sleep, or general well-being.
The platform brings together expert-rated videos, apps, podcasts, books, and articles in one place. To explore the tools available, visit https://alabama.crediblemind.com.
