Orange Beach Planning Commission To Review Storage Expansion and Garage Condominium Proposals
The commission will consider conditional-use recommendations for two deferred commercial-storage developments.
Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — All About Storage is seeking a recommendation for a conditional use approval to expand its Canal Road facility with four new storage buildings. Lieb Engineering Company submitted the requested expansion at 24140 Canal Road, within the General Business zoning district, on behalf of All About Storage OBA LLC. The Commission deferred the item from its regular meeting on Aug. 10, 2026.
The Orange Beach Planning Commission will evaluate the proposal at its regular meeting this afternoon, Sep. 14, 2026, at 4 PM in the City Council Chamber at City Hall, 4099 Orange Beach Boulevard.
The Planning Commission meets on the second Monday of each month at 4 PM. Led by Chairperson Lannie Smith, members review commercial development plans and make recommendations to the City Council to support the orderly stewardship of the city.
During the meeting, the commission will also:
- Review a conditional use request from Robert Norris for Toy Chest Garage Condominium, a proposed gated, climate-controlled facility featuring six storage buildings and a clubhouse at 5616 Roscoe Road in the General Business district, deferred from Aug. 10, 2026.
- Consider approval of the official minutes and certified records from the regular planning commission meeting held on Aug. 10, 2026.
