Foley Planning Commission to Consider Housing Plan Extensions

Industrial park resubdivisions return to the docket

Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – The Foley Planning Commission will hear two requests for extensions of subdivisions where plans call for 227 single-family homesites. Driftwood Lakes is a subdivision planned for south of County Road 26 and east of County Road 65 in the city’s planning jurisdiction. There are 139 lots planned on the 53.4 acres. Keystone phase one is located south of U.S. 98 and west of Venice Boulevard. There are 88 lots planned on the 97.82 acres.
The commission will meet in a joint regular/work session on Oct. 15 at 4 p.m. in council chambers at city hall. Staff will recommend approval of both extensions.
During the meeting, the commission will also discuss:
- Approval of a site plan for lot 3C located at 1738 Industrial Park Parkway.
- A request for site plan approval for Foley RV and Boat Storage located east of the Foley Beach Express and north of Roscoe Road on 21.32 acres.Approval of a minor subdivision for a Dream Center for Calvary Fellowship of Foley located at 18464 Underwood Road consisting of 15 acres and two lots. A resubdivision of lot seven of the Foley Crossroads west of the Foley Beach Express and south of Progress Way consisting of 4 acres and two lots.
- A second resubdivision of lot 3B in the Foley Beach Express Industrial Park consisting of 14.88 acres on two lots. The parcel is located east of the Foley Beach Express and south of Industrial Parkway.
- Approval of a subdivision request for 2.19 acres located east of South Juniper Street and north of East Michigan Avenue into 6 lots.
