Two people of interest are in custody as investigators coordinate with Jacksonville police

Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — The Foley Police Department has released an update on a shooting on Azalea Avenue. The incident happened Sunday evening. Officers identified the wounded person. The case now spans Alabama and Florida.


Police identified the victim as Amiid Dujari Houston, 20, of Foley. Investigators said the shooting took place on Sunday evening on Azalea Avenue. The department announced the update in a brief statement. Houston remains at an area hospital in critical condition. Authorities did not release additional medical details. Family information was not provided. Police asked the community to rely only on verified updates.


Two people of interest have been identified in the case. Both are currently in custody in Jacksonville, Florida. Foley detectives are traveling to interview them. Questions about charges have not been answered. Jacksonville police also seized a vehicle that may be evidence. Investigators will examine it for links to the shooting.
