Gulf Shores Town Green to Host Frank Brown Songwriters Showcase This September
Free outdoor show brings Nashville talent and local artists to the Gulf Coast shoreline
Gulf Shores, Ala. — (OBA) — The City of Gulf Shores is bringing live music back to the waterfront this fall with its annual Sunset Series on the Town Green at Gulf Place. The free outdoor concert series offers residents and visitors the chance to enjoy local and national artists against the backdrop of the Gulf's white-sand beaches. This year's lineup features a Frank Brown Songwriters Showcase, which serves as a preview of the Frank Brown Songwriters Festival. The city is also expanding the series to include new community experiences alongside the performances.
On Thursday, September 17, 2026, the Town Green at Gulf Place, 101 Gulf Shores Parkway, will host the evening's events from 5 to 8 p.m. Central Time. The Wilson Brothers will open the show from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by Nashville hit songwriter Craig Campbell and Gulf Coast favorite Johnny Hayes from 6 to 8 p.m.
In addition to live music, attendees can connect with local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations through activities, demonstrations, educational displays, and giveaways. The expanded format aims to create a more engaging atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. All events are free and open to the public.
Chad and Kyle Wilson, known professionally as The Wilson Brothers, are award-winning artists and songwriters who grew up in Alabama. Born into a musical family, the brothers have toured extensively throughout the Southeast and abroad. They currently perform regularly along the Gulf Coast.
Craig Campbell built a strong catalog of country hits before branching out as an independent label founder. His charted songs include "Family Man," "Fish," "Keep Them Kisses Comin'," "Outta My Head," and the gold-certified "Outskirts of Heaven." In 2020, Campbell launched Grindstone Recordings, and last year he released two projects — the Class of '89 album, which highlights six classic country tracks that influenced his career, and Almost Greatest Hits, a set of re-recorded versions of six of his best-known songs.
Johnny Hayes is an independent singer, songwriter, and artist from Mobile, Alabama. Throughout his career, Hayes has co-written songs with noted songwriters including Aaron Raitiere, Jon Decious, Drew Nix, and Eric Erdman. He has shared stages with artists including ERNEST, The Red Clay Strays, Lukas Nelson, Band of Heathens, Them Dirty Roses, JJ Grey & MoFro, and Blues Traveler.
Hayes has earned several notable achievements in recent years. In July 2025, his single "Broken Bow," co-written with Kapali Long, placed second in the Alt. Country category of the Wide Open Country Song contest, presented by American Songwriter Magazine. In 2017, Hayes made the top 24 on NBC's The Voice, and in 2025, Flora-Bama named him "Best Male Vocalist."
