Winter Storm Warning

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – A significant winter weather event is set to impact the Alabama Gulf Coast region, bringing wintry weather with dangerous conditions to Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and Foley areas.


Dangerous Cold Conditions

Bitter cold temperatures have already gripped the coastal region, with wind chills plunging into concerning territory. In Foley, temperatures will drop to the low teens with wind chills reaching single digits overnight. Wind chills are expected to remain below freezing from Monday through Wednesday morning.

The coastal region is under a Winter Storm Warning from 6 AM Tuesday through 6 AM Wednesday. The forecast calls for:


Expected Accumulations

  • Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area: 2–4 inches of snow accumulation possible
  • Foley area: 2–4 inches of snow likely

Snow will begin Tuesday morning and continue through the evening, with coastal areas potentially experiencing a mix of:
