South Baldwin County Cities Announce Office Closures for Veterans Day
Non-essential offices will close early next week as cities honor military service.

Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — City offices will be closed next week observing Veterans Day. Normal business hours resume Wednesday. Cities across Baldwin County are preparing to honor Veterans Day with temporary closures of non-essential offices early next week. Orange Beach, Gulf Shores and Foley have all announced changes to municipal schedules in observance of the national holiday on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Trash and recycling collection will continue but some will have minor adjustments (see each city below for specifics), and all offices will resume normal operations on Wednesday, November 12th. Below is a breakdown for each city.

City of Orange Beach:
- In observance of Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, non-essential city offices will be closed.
- Trash and recycling will not be affected. All routes will run as normal.
- City offices will open, with normal hours, on Wednesday, November 12th.
- A sincere thank you goes out to all of our veterans.
City of Foley:
- Non-emergency Foley city offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 10 and 11, for the Veterans Day holiday.
- Offices will reopen for regular hours on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Closings will include Foley City Hall, Senior Center, Welcome Center, Public Library, city museums and most municipal offices.
- The Graham Creek Nature Preserve will be open during daylight hours each day. The Interpretive Center at the preserve will be closed Nov. 8, 10 and 11.
- The collection of recyclable materials usually scheduled for Monday, Nov. 10 will take place on Friday, Nov. 7.
- Tuesday and Wednesday garbage and recyclable collections will take place Wednesday, Nov. 12.
- The collection of limbs and yard wastes will resume Wednesday, Nov. 12. All routes begin at 6 a.m.
City of Gulf Shores:
- In observance of Veterans Day, all non-essential city offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 11.
- Trash and recycling collection services will not be affected. All routes will operate as usual.
- Yard debris/bulky pickup routes that typically run on Tuesdays will be rescheduled for Wednesday, November 12.
- The Bodenhamer Recreation Center will remain open on Veterans Day from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- The Tennis and Pickleball courts will remain open and available for play.
