Santa Pub Crawl Returns To The Wharf To Spread Holiday Cheer
Sixth annual holiday event invites costumed participants to enjoy drink specials and support Toys for Tots

Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Holiday fun and charity will come together this year at The Wharf in Orange Beach as planners prepare for the 6th Annual Santa Pub Crawl. The event is promoted as one of the most jolly traditions on the Alabama Gulf Coast. Organizers invite participants to wear Santa suits, elf ears, or ugly Christmas sweaters. The night will also feature holiday drink specials and festive menu items at each stop.
The Santa Pub Crawl is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, from 7 to 10 p.m. That three-hour window will give participants time to move between bars and restaurants at The Wharf. Event organizers say each stop along the route will offer themed food and drink options. The atmosphere is designed to feel like a walking holiday party.
This year’s pub crawl will also include several contests and chances to win prizes. A costume contest will reward some of the most creative and spirited outfits. A raffle will give attendees another way to participate and possibly go home with a prize. Both activities are meant to add to the playful holiday mood.
Entry to the event costs $10 or a donated toy at check-in. Participants can pay the fee in cash or choose to bring an item instead. Organizers ask that anyone donating a toy make sure it is new and unwrapped. Those who pay or donate at check-in will receive access to the specials and activities for the night.
All proceeds and toy donations from this year’s Santa Pub Crawl will directly benefit Toys for Tots. The program aims to “help local children right here in Baldwin County have a brighter Christmas.” Organizers stress that the impact of the event will stay close to home. Families in need around the county are expected to receive some of the toys collected.
Supporters of the event are urging participants to remember the reason behind the fun. They encourage people to “bring a new, unwrapped toy or make a donation at check-in to support the cause.” Each toy or dollar collected is expected to help Toys for Tots reach more children. The combination of a festive night out and charitable giving is a central focus.
The Santa Pub Crawl has become a familiar sight at The Wharf over the past several years. Longtime participants have seen crowds in red suits and lighted sweaters fill the walkways. Newcomers are welcomed and often join in group photos and social moments. Event planners hope this year’s edition will continue that pattern of growth.
Organizers also note that the dress-up element is a big part of the draw. People can choose full Santa costumes, simple hats, elf ears, or bold holiday sweaters. The silly outfits are expected to add to the relaxed feeling of the night. Attendees often treat the event as a chance to kick off their holiday season.
