Good Life Ride Returns To Gulf Shores For Community Ride

Gulf Shores, Ala. — (OBA) — Residents and visitors will soon have a chance to enjoy exercise and nature with a group along Alabama’s Gulf Coast. The Alabama Coastal Foundation is hosting the Good Life Ride, a free event focused on environmental awareness and healthy living. Set against the backdrop of Gulf State Park, the ride encourages community members to experience the outdoors together. Organizers say the event is open to riders of all skill levels who want to explore and learn about coastal conservation.

The Good Life Ride will take place on January 31, beginning at The Lodge at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores. Participants can ride the park’s scenic trails at their own pace throughout the day. A 9-mile group ride and guided tour of the Gulf Eco Center are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m., offering an opportunity to learn more about the region’s unique environment.

Those hoping to make a weekend of it can also take advantage of discounted lodging rates at The Lodge. The Alabama Coastal Foundation encourages families, friends, and cycling groups to participate and help raise awareness of the importance of protecting the state’s natural coastal resources.

“The Good Life Ride is a wonderful way to connect people with our mission while enjoying the beauty of the Gulf Coast,” organizers said. The foundation’s staff added that the event combines fun, fitness, and environmental education—key parts of their community outreach.

Founded in 1993, the Alabama Coastal Foundation (ACF) promotes environmental stewardship through cooperation, education, and public involvement. Its programs include Share the Beach, which protects sea turtle nests and hatchlings along Alabama’s shorelines, and the Oyster Shell Recycling Program, which works with local restaurants to restore vital oyster reefs. The group also runs Connect to Your Coast, a series of outreach events that engage residents across the state.

More details about the Good Life Ride, including discounted lodging options, are available at
joinacf.org or by calling 251-990-6002. The foundation hopes the event will inspire more people to enjoy Alabama’s natural beauty while supporting its long-term conservation.
