Witches on Wheels Returns to Gulf Shores with Haunted Hustle

Gulf Shores, Ala. — (OBA) — Gulf Shores is preparing for a fall celebration that blends Halloween spirit with community fitness. The Witches on Wheels Bicycle Parade will return to Gulf Place, bringing together riders in costume and decorated bikes for a lighthearted parade by the beach. The event is part of the annual Haunted Hustle, which continues to grow as a family-friendly tradition. Organizers emphasize that the day is designed to support local schools while providing fun for residents and visitors.

The Haunted Hustle is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, at Gulf Place in Gulf Shores. Alongside the bicycle parade, the event will include the Haunted Hustle 5K and Fun Run, offering activities for those who prefer running to biking. Registration for both is available online through ChronoTrack, and participants are encouraged to sign up early to secure a spot.

Proceeds from the day will benefit the Dolphin Foundation for Education and Arts. The nonprofit works to expand learning opportunities and arts programming for Gulf Shores City Schools, helping fill gaps that are not always met by standard funding. The foundation will also be on-site serving pizza, beer, wine, and other refreshments during the event.

Organizers note that the Haunted Hustle has become more than just a seasonal event. It is a chance for families to enjoy creative costumes, community spirit, and fitness all in one setting. Past proceeds have supported classroom technology, arts education, and enrichment programs that may otherwise have gone unfunded.

Those planning to participate are encouraged to
register in advance. Early sign-up helps event staff prepare food, drinks, and race coordination, ensuring a smooth experience for everyone. For many in Gulf Shores, the Haunted Hustle has grown into a fall tradition that ties together fun, health, and a commitment to education.
