Dogs Take Center Stage at Orange Beach Waterfront Park Event

Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Orange Beach is getting ready to celebrate four-legged friends in a big way. The city's Parks and Recreation Department is hosting Fido Fest, a special event dedicated to dogs and their families. The free celebration promises an afternoon packed with canine-themed fun at one of the area's most popular outdoor venues. Dog lovers throughout the community are invited to bring their furry companions for activities, entertainment, and a chance to mingle with other pet enthusiasts.

Fido Fest will take place at Orange Beach Waterfront Park on Sunday, November 9th. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., giving attendees plenty of time to enjoy everything the festival has to offer.

Organizers have planned a variety of attractions to keep both dogs and their owners entertained. Visitors can expect doggy-friendly activities designed especially for canine participants. Local vendors will be on hand selling pet-related products and services. Live music will provide a festive atmosphere throughout the afternoon, making it a true community celebration.

The highlight of Fido Fest is the inaugural Mr. and Miss Fido Fest Pageant. This first-ever competition gives dogs a chance to strut their stuff and compete for prizes and bragging rights. Owners interested in entering their pets must submit a pageant application by Friday, October 31st through an online form.

The selection process involves two stages. After applications close, organizers will review all entries and select finalists. Those chosen finalists will be announced on the Orange Beach Parks and Recreation Facebook page on Monday, November 3rd. Only the selected finalists will compete in the live pageant at Waterfront Park on November 9th.

Winners will receive prizes and earn the prestigious titles of Little Miss Fido Fest and Mr. Fido Fest. The pageant adds an extra layer of excitement to an already entertaining event.

Since admission is free, Fido Fest offers an affordable weekend activity for families. The event welcomes dogs of all sizes and breeds, making it an inclusive celebration of the special bond between people and their pets.
