NAS Pensacola Cancels 2025 Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show Due to Funding Uncertainty

NAS Pensacola, Fla. — (OBA) —  Naval Air Station Pensacola has cancelled the 2025 Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show. The decision affects one of northwest Florida's largest annual events. The air show was scheduled to take place over two days. Hundreds of thousands of visitors typically attend the popular aviation event.

The cancellation applies to the shows planned for November 14 and 15. Officials cited ongoing uncertainty regarding government funding as the primary reason. The lead time required to secure contracts for performers and support services made the cancellation unavoidable. Event organizers needed to make the difficult decision early in the planning process.

Captain Chandra "Mamasan" Newman, NAS Pensacola Commanding Officer, addressed the cancellation. She acknowledged the decision was not made lightly. Newman recognized the significant impact the cancellation will have on the community. Event organizers carefully considered the financial requirements associated with executing the large-scale event.
