Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — The Orange Beach Golf Center is turning down the lights and turning up the fun with its third Spooky Scramble. The city course is planning a glow in the dark round on its Par 3 layout. Organizers are keeping the format simple and social. It is built for friends and families who want a short night game without a long walk.

The tournament is scheduled for Thursday, October 30, 2025, with a 6:30 p.m. start. Teams of two will play a nine hole Best Ball Scramble, with three teams assigned to each hole to keep the field moving. The entry fee is $130 per team. Carts will be available on a first come first served basis. 

Registration is open through the 2025 Spooky Scramble Glow Golf tournament page. The final day to register is Wednesday, October 29, 2025. Raffles, food, and refreshments are planned on site, and the event is billed as family friendly. Costumes are encouraged, with contest prizes for especially creative looks.

Tournament staff say the format should be welcoming to casual players. Best Ball lets each duo card the lower of their two scores on every hole. Glow equipment and the short yardages of a Par 3 course tend to favor steady wedges and putts over power. That may level the field for newer golfers.

Costumes are part of the draw. Organizers say outfits should be fun, visible, and safe to swing in. The prize element adds a little nudge for participants who like a theme night. It also gives spectators something to watch between tee shots.

Three teams per hole means players can expect a crowd at each tee box. That setup helps everyone begin and finish at about the same time. It may also require patience between shots. Volunteers typically help manage flow at night events.
