Spark Into Summer Kicks Off Wharf Summer Nights Season

Events begin with fireworks in May and continue with weekly activities through July

Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) —  May has arrived, and the Wharf in Orange Beach is set to launch its 2026 summer event lineup, featuring a series of family-friendly activities and entertainment. The season kicks off with a celebration featuring music, interactive attractions, and fireworks. Organizers say the events are designed to bring residents and visitors together. Most activities offer free admission and parking.


The first event, Spark into Summer, is scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Main Street. A DJ will perform, and a Bubble Truck will operate from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fireworks are planned for 8:45 p.m.


Weekly programming begins Monday, June 1, 2026, and runs through July 27, 2026, with Movie Monday at Portside on Main. Films start at 6:30 p.m., followed by the SPECTRA Laser Light Experience at 8:30, 9, and 9:30 p.m. Movies include The Parent Trap and Migration.


Sunset Sounds at Portside will be held each Tuesday from May 26 through July 28, 2026, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event features live music, children’s activities, and games. Organizers noted that there will be no event on June 2 due to a scheduled concert.


Pepsi Summer Adventure will be held on Wednesdays from June 3 through July 29, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Palms Plaza, except on July 15. Children can participate in a scavenger hunt, and the first 500 to finish will trigger a $5 donation in their honor to Alabama Credit Union’s Secret Meals for Hungry Children program.


Bubbles and Beats is scheduled for Thursdays from May 28 through July 30, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Main Street. The event features music, games, and a Bubble Truck. Organizers said the event will not take place on July 2, 16, or 23 due to other scheduled activities.


Additional special events include the Shark Run 5K on July 4, 2026, and the Blue Marlin Grand Championship on July 17 and 18, 2026. The fishing tournament is the final leg of the Gulf Coast Triple Crown Series and has raised more than $250,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
