Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Orange Beach is closing out Parks and Recreation Month with three community events, all wrapping up on Friday. The city's 3rd Annual Summer Sendoff is a free family event billed as one last summer party before children return to school. Activities will include the Bubble Truck, Jens Bay Balloons, lawn games, pizza, and water features for kids. Families are asked to bring a towel and a change of clothes.

The Summer Sendoff will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Waterfront Park, 26425 Canal Road, Orange Beach. Also ending on Friday, July 31, 2026, is the city's ongoing scavenger hunt. Orange Beach Parks and Recreation posted the final clue on its Facebook page, offering residents one last chance to participate. Submissions must be received by 5:00 p.m. sharp, and late entries will not be accepted.

The Swim 250 Challenge is also entering its final hours. Participants who have been tracking their pool lengths throughout the month must complete their logs and submit their forms by 5:00 p.m. on July 31, 2026. The deadline is firm.

All three events are part of the city's broader celebration of National Parks and Recreation Month. Orange Beach Parks and Recreation invites the community to join the festivities before the summer season officially winds down.
