Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) —  The Sea Glass Initiative announced the return of the Salty Shuffle Charity Poker Cruise. This local fundraiser will benefit Baldwin County residents in need. Organizers expanded the event this year to boost participation. Participants can now join by water or on land.

The Salty Shuffle is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, with a route from Orange Beach to Gulf Shores. The activities will conclude at Legendary Marina, where an after-party is planned from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will feature live music, food, games, a silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle for participants and guests. This event is the second annual Salty Shuffle Charity Poker Cruise, presented by the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church of Gulf Shores.

Co-hosts include Legendary Marina and Yacht Club, Dockside Guide, and No Shoes Media and Marketing. The fundraiser will be held along the Intracoastal Waterway. Organizers said it aims to bring the local community together.

Participants will stop at designated locations by boat, car, or a limited-seating shuttle. At each stop, they will collect individual poker chips. The day will end at Legendary Marine in Gulf Shores.

The final stop will include a dockside celebration and the reveal of the poker hand. Organizers also announced live music, prizes, and a community gathering. Boaters, residents, and visitors are all invited to take part.

Michelle Hillman, executive director of the Sea Glass Initiative, said, “This event is about bringing people together in a way that’s fun, inclusive, and impactful.” She added that everyone helps the group serve neighbors across the county.

Hillman said, “Whether you’re cruising the water or joining us by land, every participant helps us continue serving our neighbors across Baldwin County with dignity and care.” The release described the event as centered on the community.

According to the release, the proceeds will support work with unhoused people in Baldwin County. That work includes outreach, resource navigation, and support services. These programs help meet immediate needs and build pathways to stability.

The organization also serves hot meals through a program called The Table. The release said the group aims to meet urgent needs with care. Organizers said the cruise combines a fun atmosphere with a very meaningful mission.

Stops will include Flora-Bama Yacht Club, Oso at Bear Point Harbor, and Tacky Jacks Orange Beach. Participants will also visit Tacky Jacks in Gulf Shores. They will collect additional poker chips at Tiki & Raw Bar and Barometer.

Other stops include Shipp’s Dockside, Pirates Cove, Jessies Cold Hole, GT’s on the Bay, and LuLu’s. Organizers said the 11 stops allow participants to move along the route, helping them build their full poker hand.

Registration and event details are available online to everyone. The release said sponsorship opportunities remain available to businesses. These businesses can support a high-impact event and gain visibility in the local community.

The Sea Glass Initiative said the expanded format is intended to make participation easier. By adding land access, the event now offers another way for supporters to participate. This allows people to help even if they lack a boat. Interested participants can
register online through the organization’s event page.
