Orange Beach Invites Residents To Join 14-Day Wellness Challenge
City offers free 14-day event to help residents focus on fitness and wellness
Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Orange Beach Parks and Recreation invites residents to join a free 14-day Spring Wellness Challenge aimed at helping people reset their health goals. The program encourages participants to reset their habits and move forward intentionally for the rest of the year. Organizers say it is not too late to make 2026 one of the healthiest and best years yet. The challenge is open to anyone seeking support in developing better nutrition, fitness, and mindset routines.
The 14-day Wellness Challenge starts on Sunday, March 1, and lasts for two full weeks. By signing up, participants agree to improve their nutrition, boost their physical fitness, and sharpen their mindset throughout the program. The last day to register is Friday, February 27, 2026. City staff explains that the structure is designed to provide residents with a clear daily plan.
Everyone who signs up will receive a Challenge Workbook and daily emails that guide them through each of the 14 days. The workbook and messages are designed to help people stay organized, track progress, and remain motivated. Officials hope the tools will make it easier for participants to keep their commitments and complete the challenge successfully.
Along with the self-guided materials, the city will provide various in-person workouts and learning sessions during the challenge. Most are free, while a few may require a small fee. Parks and Recreation staff say the variety of options helps residents find options that fit their schedules and interests.
A Nutrition Pep Rally is scheduled for the challenge's opening day and will include a food demonstration, recipes, and samples. The event aims to provide participants with practical ideas they can apply at home, with an emphasis on healthy eating. Registration details for the Nutrition Pep Rally are available on the city’s activity registration website.
Another related program, Fuel Smart Meal Planning In The Kitchen with Dr. Cindy Ross, is part of the city’s March Coastal Table series and is inspired by the Spring Wellness Challenge. The session will focus on smart meal planning to support healthier eating year-round. Details and sign-up information for Fuel Smart Meal Planning are also posted on the city’s registration site.
