Orange Beach Adds Third Pre-K Class Due to Demand

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Orange Beach City Schools (OBCS) is just announced the expansion of its early education program, adding another prekindergarten class for the 2024-2025 school year in response to overwhelming demand in the community for prekindergarten education.

After receiving two prekindergarten units from the Office of School Readiness (OSR), limited to accommodating 36 students, OBCS experienced a substantial overflow of interest, with over 60 pre-registered students. Recognizing the critical role of early education in a child's developmental and learning trajectory, OBCS has proactively established a third prekindergarten unit by utilizing existing staff resources.

This initiative reflects the district's dedication to ensuring that children in our community have access to quality early educational opportunities. By establishing an additional class, OBCS will meet the high demand and provide more children with a strong foundation as they embark on their educational journey.

Seat allocations for the newly added prekindergarten class will be announced soon. OBCS encourages parents and guardians of preregistered students to stay updated on the forthcoming details regarding seat assignments and registration procedures.
