Orange Beach Extends Business License Deadline To Feb 28
Officials Say Extension Helps Applicants Avoid Late Fees
Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — The Orange Beach Finance Department has extended the deadline for business license owners and new applicants to submit required documents. City staff said the extra time is meant to help people complete their paperwork without the stress of late fees. The department also asked applicants to be clear about their needs when seeking help via phone or email. Officials said this should speed up responses as staff work through a busy season.
The original deadline was January 31, 2026. The city has now extended it to February 28, 2026. Finance Department staff said the extension allows applicants more time to complete and submit all required documents in full compliance with department rules.
City officials encouraged applicants to use the added time to double-check that forms and other materials are complete and accurate. They said complete submissions help the department process applications more smoothly and on time. Staff emphasized that missing details can slow down the review.
The department also warned that it is handling a high volume of calls and emails. When leaving a voicemail or sending an email, applicants should state the issue, such as the online portal or a missing renewal form. Staff said they will respond as soon as they can.
For questions or clarification, the Finance Department can be reached at 251-981-6096 during official working hours. The office is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Officials said they appreciate the public’s cooperation and understanding during the busy period.
Applicants can also find instructions for the OpenGov online portal, along with other business license information, through the city’s website. The information is available online at www.orangebeachal.gov/business-licenses.
