New Training Center Under Construction for Orange Beach Fire Rescue

Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — The City of Orange Beach is taking a significant step forward in public safety infrastructure. A new construction project is underway behind Fire Station 1. Activity on the site began earlier this year after the city council gave the green light. The project focuses on a 10,000-square-foot training facility. It is designed to modernize how local firefighters prepare for emergencies. Crews are currently busy getting the foundation in place.


Construction efforts are proceeding rapidly in December 2025 as the crews work to complete the build. The city has partnered with McCollough Architecture for the building's design. Roy Lewis Construction has been selected to handle the physical building process. Both companies are well-known entities in the region.

The interior of the new center will feature a variety of specialized rooms. A highlight is the 2,000-square-foot training room that can be divided for smaller classes. This flexibility allows for simultaneous sessions. It ensures that different teams can learn without interrupting one another.
