Mobile Man Arrested Following Shooting Investigation In Foley

Foley, Ala. — (OBA) — Law enforcement officials have taken a man into custody following a shooting earlier this week in Foley. The arrest comes after a detailed investigation into the shooting. Officers worked quickly to track down the person they believe is responsible. The suspect now faces serious charges related to the attack.


The incident occurred on December 9. It happened in the 500 block of Linda Court in the city of Foley. Detectives responded to the scene immediately to gather facts. They began piecing together what happened right after the violence took place.

Police identified the suspect as James Fitzgerald Everett. He is a 35-year-old resident of Mobile, Alabama. Authorities have arrested him for Assault 1st. This charge stems from his alleged involvement in the shooting that left one person injured.


Investigators were able to move the case forward by speaking with the victim. They also used specific evidence and modern technology to build their case. These tools helped detectives link Everett to the crime scene. This information was vital for the next steps of the search.


Once they had a lead, Foley investigators contacted the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office. The two agencies worked together to locate a vehicle of interest. They soon found Everett at his residence in Mobile. This cooperation allowed police to act fast.


The situation at Everett’s home briefly turned into a standoff. Police surrounded the location to prevent him from fleeing. Fortunately, the tense moment ended peacefully. Officers arrested Everett without any further incident or injury to anyone involved.


The victim of the shooting has been identified as Patrick Landrum. He is 33 years old. Medical reports state that he is currently in stable condition. Doctors expect him to fully recover from his injuries.


Several different agencies played a role in this successful operation. The Foley Police Department expressed gratitude for the help they received. They thanked both the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office. Their assistance was crucial during the investigation.
