Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Orange Beach City Schools has reached a major milestone in its effort to support students through community partnerships. Working with the Makos Academics Arts and Athletics Club, known as MAAAC, the district has now secured more than one million dollars in sponsorships. School leaders say this achievement shows how strongly families and businesses believe in their schools. They also say the new funding will directly improve opportunities for students in classrooms, arts, and sports.

The sponsorship program launched on March 1, 2025, with a goal of unifying support for all parts of student life. In just over nine months, the effort grew to include one hundred forty-five sponsors from across the Orange Beach area. The one million dollar mark was passed on December 11, 2025, during the Orange Beach Band Concert. That night, a key donation helped push the total over the seven-figure line.

She became the program’s one hundred forty-fifth sponsor when she presented a ten thousand dollar contribution at the concert.
