Easter Events Fill the Calendar Along the Alabama Gulf Coast

Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Families along the Alabama Gulf Coast have many ways to celebrate the Easter holiday this year. Egg hunts, brunches, church services, and photo opportunities are available at various locations. Many events are free and designed for children. The celebrations last from late March through Easter Sunday, April 5.


The schedule begins on Saturday, March 28, with additional events occurring on March 29, April 1, April 2, April 4, and Easter Sunday, April 5. Locations range from Foley to Orange Beach and Gulf Shores.


Cornerstone Church is hosting Easter at the Park
on March 28 at Orange Beach Waterfront Park. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with the egg hunt starting at 10:30. Age groups include kindergarten and under, first through third grade, and fourth grade and up.


Also on March 28, the
Flora-Bama hosts its Easter Egg Hunt and Bunny Drop starting at 11 a.m. on Perdido Key. The event is free.


The Wharf Store in Orange Beach is offering professional Easter photos
with live bunnies on select weekends through April 4. Dates include March 28 and 29 and April 3 and 4. Multiple photo packages are available.


Tacky Jack's in Gulf Shores hosts Brunch with the Bunny
on Sunday, March 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The brunch buffet costs $8.99 for children 12 and under and $18.99 for adults. RSVPs are requested. Activities at the Tacky Jack's Gulf Shores event include an Easter egg hunt, face painting, animal appearances, arts and crafts, photos with the Easter Bunny, and a live DJ dance party.


The Foley Public Library has two Easter events
during the week of the holiday. On Wednesday, April 1, kids can participate in a Storytime and craft session with the Easter Bunny at 10 a.m. in the children's area. The library also holds an Easter egg hunt on Thursday, April 2, starting at 10 a.m. The Easter Bunny is expected to be on hand for photos. More information is available at foleylibrary.org.


Tacky Jack's in Orange Beach hosts its own Brunch with the Bunny
on Saturday, April 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The lineup features a buffet, animal appearances, arts and crafts, and a Bunny Hop Dance Party with a live DJ. Brunch prices are the same as the Gulf Shores event.


The Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail Easter Egg Hunt
is scheduled for April 4 at 10 a.m. at the Orange Beach Sportsplex. The event is designed for kids 10 and under, with age groups used to keep things organized. Children can exchange the eggs they collect for candy and prizes.


Easter Sunday, April 5, features the most events.
Worship on the Water offers services behind the Flora-Bama at 6 a.m., 9 a.m., and 11 a.m., with baptisms following each one. Organizers note that these services tend to fill up quickly, so arriving early is recommended.


The Hangout in Gulf Shores is hosting an Easter breakfast on April 5
with seatings at 8, 9, and 10 a.m. Children 5 and under eat free. A sunrise courtyard service is also scheduled for 6:30 a.m. The Hangout event also includes an Easter egg hunt and photos with the Easter Bunny. Table reservations are available through the restaurant's website.


CoastAL in Orange Beach hosts a beachfront Easter brunch
from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 5. No reservations are needed, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.


Zeke's Restaurant in Orange Beach opens at 10 a.m. on Easter Sunday

LuLu's Gulf Shores celebrates Easter Sunday with its annual Easter Egg Dash
, from noon to 2 p.m. The dash begins promptly at 1 p.m. and is divided by age groups. Children over 3 must participate in the dash area without their parents. Families should bring their own baskets or bags.
