Crews Are Ready To Start Resurfacing Innerarity Point Road
County officials say the work will be finished within thirty days if the weather cooperates.

Perdido Key, Fla. — (OBA) — Drivers on Innerarity Point Road in Escambia County should prepare for lane closures next week. Resurfacing work is scheduled to begin as crews work to repave the roadway. The project includes Innerarity Point Road between Sorrento Road and Kaiser Lane. Motorists are advised to slow down, stay alert, and follow all posted signs while driving through the area.
The resurfacing project is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 13. Plans call for the project to be completed by Wednesday, May 13, weather permitting. Rain could delay completion.
Traffic will be diverted through one-way lane closures while work is underway. Drivers need to stay alert and follow all instructions from the road crews. It is very important for everyone’s safety to pay attention to the signs posted and crew instructions in the work zone.
Residents and pedestrians will still have access to their properties in the work zone. Emergency vehicles are also cleared to pass through the area at all times. Drivers might see their entrance blocked for a few minutes while equipment moves past.
County officials are asking that everyone be patient during the construction period. If the plans change or if more closures are needed, officials will send out another notice. People can call Escambia County Engineering at 850-595-3440 with any questions.
