Country Legend Willie Nelson Set to Play Orange Beach in May

Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Willie Nelson is returning to the Alabama Gulf Coast for a night of live music at The Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach. The country legend and his band, Willie Nelson & Family, will perform as part of the C Spire Concert Series. The show is presented by Live Nation. It is his first solo headlining appearance at the venue since 2023.

The concert is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026. Pre-sale tickets go on sale today at Ticketmaster and at The Wharf box office, which is located at the venue. The box office is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Wharf Amphitheater can hold up to 10,000 guests in a tiered outdoor venue. Attendees are advised to arrive early. The Wharf also features over 60 retail shops, restaurants, and other entertainment options.

Nelson last performed at the Orange Beach venue in October 2023 during his traveling Outlaw Music Festival. That show featured Willie Nelson & Family, The Avett Brothers, Gov't Mule, Elizabeth Cook, and Waylon Payne.

With over 60 years in music, Nelson has become an American icon. He started in Nashville, writing songs for other artists before making it big as a performer. His hits include songs like "If You've Got the Money, I've Got the Time" and "On the Road Again."

Nelson helped shape outlaw country alongside Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, and Johnny Cash. He has received numerous honors over the years, including induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Kennedy Center Honors, and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

His band, Willie Nelson & Family, has toured with him for decades and includes his son Lukas Nelson. Watching father and son perform together has become one of the highlights of a live Nelson show, with Lukas often stepping in to complement his father on stage.

Nelson will turn 93 years old on April 29th, just 17 days before his Orange Beach concert on May 16th. He has remained on the road at an age when most performers have long since retired. His touring schedule in 2026 spans across the country, from Texas to New York.

Ticketmaster
is the official ticket provider for The Wharf Amphitheater. The box office can be reached by phone at 251-224-1020. Fans are advised to buy only through official channels to avoid fraudulent tickets.
