American Red Cross to Host Blood Drive at Orange Beach City Hall
Bloodmobile visit brings opportunity for community to help save lives

Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — The American Red Cross is inviting everyone in the Orange Beach area to come support a local blood drive this week. The event will take place at Orange Beach City Hall, located at 4099 Orange Beach Blvd. The Bloodmobile will be ready to accept donations on Thursday, July 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Organizers hope many residents will come out to help patients in need and make a difference in the community.
Anyone who would like to donate blood can schedule an appointment by visiting the
Red Cross website or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). The American Red Cross regularly holds blood drives like this to help local hospitals and people who depend on blood transfusions.
All donors who give blood at the drive will receive a free Fandango movie ticket by email after the event. This reward is being offered as a thank you to everyone who takes the time to help others by donating. The need for blood is especially urgent during the summer, when activity and travel can cause shortages.
The Red Cross asks that donors bring a photo ID. Walk-ins may be welcome if there is room, but scheduling an appointment ahead of time is best. Blood donation is a quick, safe process and helps save lives. Organizers hope the Orange Beach community will respond and make the drive a success.
