Baldwin County Schools Ranked Among Top 25 in Alabama
Baldwin County climbs state rankings with strong performance indicators

Robertsdale, Ala. — (OBA) — Baldwin County Public Schools has earned a spot among the Top 25 school districts in Alabama, according to Niche, a website that ranks schools based on academics, teachers, and student outcomes. The recognition highlights the district’s dedication to educational quality and student achievement. As Baldwin County continues to grow rapidly, school officials say this ranking shows that their long-term focus on strong programs and professional development is paying off. The district serves a diverse and expanding student population.
The 2025 Niche rankings were released in July and placed Baldwin County Public Schools within the top tier of Alabama's more than 130 public school districts. The rating considered multiple factors, including academic performance, graduation rates, college readiness, and teacher quality. Community feedback also played a role, including reviews from parents, students, and staff.
District leaders credit this achievement to continued investment in both people and programs. Over the past several years, Baldwin County has increased support for teachers, added new learning initiatives, and expanded opportunities in career tech, arts, and STEM education. Superintendent Eddie Tyler has often spoken about the importance of preparing students not just to graduate, but to succeed in a fast-changing world.
The district has also emphasized local partnerships and family engagement. Many schools work closely with area businesses, higher education institutions, and community groups to give students real-world experiences and mentorship. Parent involvement remains a key part of school culture, with family nights, volunteer programs, and strong parent-teacher organizations across the system.
This is not the first time Baldwin County has received statewide or national recognition. Recently, the district has been noted for its innovation, safety measures, and expansion of facilities to match population growth. Officials say the newest ranking is further proof that Baldwin County’s schools are moving in the right direction.
Parents and educators alike say the sense of community is part of what makes the district special. Whether families have lived in Baldwin County for generations or just moved in, they are encouraged to take pride in being part of what the district calls “one of the best school communities in the state.” School leaders say the Top 25 recognition belongs to the whole county.
