Supporting local small businesses is essential for the vitality of many towns, as it allows the community to actively participate in the growth and development of what is now one of the most popular vacation destinations in the U.S. Each year, this area attracts new residents, contributing to its vibrant atmosphere. Being a positive force in the community, whether you live there or are just visiting, is crucial for keeping the local passions alive. When you know where your products come from and have the chance to meet the people who prepared, grew, designed, or crafted them, a special sense of small-town camaraderie develops. This connection remains an integral part of our identity, regardless of how much the area grows. The Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermen's Market (CAFFM) exemplifies this spirit. It offers fresh produce directly from local farmers and their families, providing a direct link from the farm to your kitchen. Every Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM, the north side of County Road 20 in Foley transforms into a covered, open-air market for everyone to explore and enjoy. At CAFFM, you'll find a variety of delicious fresh fruits and vegetables, local honey, freshly brewed coffee, organic beef, and freshly caught seafood. Here in the South, we take pride in great food and homemade treats, making this market a must-visit for anyone who shares that love. Shopping at CAFFM extends beyond just food. Patrons can discover an array of treasures, from handmade jewelry to artisan soaps. Whether you’re looking to stock your local kitchen or searching for something special to drive back home, a visit to the CAFFM Market Day is a must. You might even get the chance to meet some of the farmers and fishermen themselves!

Maintaining a good reputation, especially in the world of online reviews, can be challenging. In today's click-happy environment, many people tend to take time to complain rather than praise. However, if a place can maintain a rating above four stars, it’s worth reading reviews before dismissing it based on negative feedback. So, don't let anything below a five-star rating dissuade you, especially in a busy tourist town like ours. When enjoying a dining experience, particularly during the bustling summer months, you may encounter some ups and downs. Therefore, it’s essential to focus on what truly matters: the quality of the food and local ownership. Luna’s Eat and Drink, along with its nearby sister restaurants, consistently upholds this standard as well as high rating stars. Each location offers something unique while maintaining a similar commitment to menu quality. Luna’s is a fantastic spot to relax with family or to catch up with friends in a quirky atmosphere. Their lunch specials feature options like meat-and-three dishes, along with popular items such as Tomato Pie, Shrimp and Grits, various fish dishes, and plenty of sandwich options. It’s a great place to try something new or savor one of your favorites. Happy Hour starts daily at 3 PM, offering drink and appetizer specials, and dinner time brings live music performances that enhance the dining experience. The menu includes steaks, seafood, house brews, sweet desserts, and more. Sunday features well-known local artist Mason Henderson from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM. No matter what time of day you visit, remember that the menu is where the excitement lies. Take everything else in stride and just enjoy the experience—the summer rush will pass before we know it. And don’t forget to leave a positive review if you enjoyed your time at any of the local highlights while in town or as a resident.
