Alabama and Baldwin County Runoff Election Set For Tuesday, June 16
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at two local voting locations
Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Baldwin County voters will return to the polls Tuesday for a runoff election after several races in the May primary failed to produce outright winners. The runoff follows a May 19, 2026, primary in which only 19% of registered Baldwin County voters cast ballots, compared with 23% statewide. Election officials have designated specific polling locations based on residents' addresses. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Orange Beach residents are assigned to vote at the Orange Beach Event Center, 4671 Wharf Parkway West. Ono Island residents will cast their ballots at The Harriett Cockrell Center, 31692 Dolphin Drive. Voters can review sample ballots — both Republican and Democratic — on the Baldwin County election website before heading to the polls. Additional general election information is available through Baldwin County's official election resources.
The June 16, 2026, runoff was triggered because multiple county races failed to meet the required vote threshold in the May primary. Baldwin County election officials have not specified which individual races advanced to the runoff. Voters are encouraged to confirm their registration and polling place ahead of Tuesday's election day.

Baldwin County Sample Ballots:
Beyond the June runoff, Alabama voters will have another opportunity to head to the polls on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, when Alabama holds elections for U.S. House of Representatives seats, before the general election on Tuesday, November 3rd. Residents are encouraged to visit the Alabama Secretary of State
election website for sample ballots, polling locations, and registration deadlines ahead of the August contest. Voter turnout in the May primary fell well below the statewide average, and election observers are watching to see whether participation improves in the summer races.
