Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) —  The City of Orange Beach is hosting a full-moon paddle on Wolf Bay once again. The public is invited to enjoy an evening of paddling and relaxation under the night sky. The Wind and Water Learning Center is organizing the event. Attendees can bring their own boats or rent gear at the Learning Center.

The Strawberry Moon Full Moon Paddle takes place on Friday, June 26, 2026, with activities from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This schedule allows participants to watch the sunset over the water. The moon will rise shortly after sunset.

Check-in begins at 6:00 p.m. at the local learning center. Instructors will offer basic kayak guidance to participants who need it. The group plans to launch at 6:30 p.m. Boaters will follow a clearly marked course across the bay.

Organizers welcome various types of watercraft for the paddle. Participants may use kayaks, canoes, or stand-up paddleboards. Those without equipment can rent a kayak directly from the facility. Advanced reservations are required to ensure that gear is available for everyone.

Food is included with the event registration. Dinner service begins at 6:00 p.m. on the grounds. Participants may bring their own food. Eating on the water offers a different way to experience the bay.

Safety rules apply to all attendees. The event is open to individuals aged 10 or older. Participants under eighteen must have an adult companion. These guidelines ensure a safe environment for every paddler.
