Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – With the holiday season upon us, the Alabama Retail Association highlights the crucial role of retail as Alabama's top private employer and a key revenue generator. This year, Small Business Saturday on November 25th offers Orange Beach and other communities a chance to boost the local economy through local shopping for the holidays.


This day is dedicated to celebrating small businesses and acknowledging their contributions to the community's vibrancy and resilience. Local retailers are key to a thriving community. The Alabama Retail Association encourages residents to focus locally for holiday shopping, dining, and leisure; supporting local livelihoods and strengthening the community's economy.


Small Business Saturday is a great time to support your local friends. Shop Small is our way of celebrating and supporting small businesses along the Alabama Gulf Coast. In case you need a few ideas, we have compiled a list of ideal gifts from some small shops around the corner from you.

On May 11, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach will host the first-ever Coastal Alabama Kid Entrepreneurs Day, as organized by the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber. Orange Beach firefighters’ quick response to a golf cart engulfed in flames at Ave Pub prevented the fire from spreading to a second cart parked in the next parking space. Upon arrival, the fire crew found the cart fully engulfed in flames.
Beachside S'mores Bash Returns to Gulf Shores May 23rd
