St Andrew Church Hosts Food, Fellowship, and Music

Gulf Shores, Ala. — (OBA) — St. Andrew by the Sea Community Church is preparing a series of public events designed to bring residents and visitors together through food, fellowship, and music. The Gulf Shores church is hosting multiple gatherings early in 2026. Each event is tied to education, ministry, or community outreach. Church leaders say the emphasis is on inclusion and support for local programs.

The first event will be a Low Country Boil held Saturday, January 31, at the church’s Fort Morgan Road campus. A special music program featuring songwriter Jerry Salley is scheduled for February 15. A two-day yard sale will be held on February 20 and 21.

The Low Country Boil is being hosted in conjunction with the Michigan Club. The meal will include shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn, green beans, a roll, and a drink. Tickets are $20 per person, with seatings at noon, 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. Tickets for the meal are available through the church office during regular business hours or by phone at 251-968-3900. Proceeds from the event will benefit the St. Andrew by the Sea Preschool. The preschool focuses on early learning and school readiness through partnerships with staff and community supporters.

Later in February, the church will open its fellowship hall and surrounding areas for a yard sale running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Gently used items will be available at reduced prices. Funds raised will support community outreach partners throughout the Gulf Shores area.

The upcoming schedule also includes a concert with acclaimed songwriter Jerry Salley. Salley has written more than 580 recorded songs with worldwide sales exceeding 19 million copies. His work has been recorded by Reba McEntire, Chris Stapleton, Loretta Lynn, Toby Keith, and others.

Salley is a Dove Award winner, an eight-time Dove Award nominee, and an eight-time IBMA Award recipient. He has performed internationally and appeared as a soloist on the Grand Ole Opry. His most recent release,
The Believer, is a 2026 gospel project featuring 12 inspirational songs.

St. Andrew by the Sea Community Church is an interdenominational congregation located at 17263 Fort Morgan Road. Church leaders say all community members are welcome to attend events, learn about the preschool, or participate in worship services. Additional information is available by calling 251-968-3900.
