Perdido Key, Fla. — (OBA) —   The 3rd Annual Perdido Key Fishing Rodeo is coming to Pensacola this fall, drawing anglers from across the region for a multi-species recreational fishing tournament. The event is scheduled to take place at 13506 Perdido Key Drive in Pensacola, Florida. It features both inshore and offshore divisions, offering competitors a wide range of ways to participate. A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will benefit Operation Tackle Box, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

The rodeo runs from Friday, October 2, 2026, at midnight through Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Anglers will compete in eight divisions over the three-day event. The tournament offers something for both inshore and offshore fishermen.

The four inshore divisions are speckled trout, redfish, mangrove snapper, and flounder. The four offshore divisions are red snapper, vermillion snapper, king mackerel, and Spanish mackerel. Operation Tackle Box is the charitable beneficiary of the tournament's proceeds. The organization's mission is to help veterans heal through fishing and outdoor activities. Operation Tackle Box takes veterans on camping trips, fishing tournaments, fishing expos, and other events designed to support those who served.

The nonprofit also helps veterans navigate and access the benefits they are entitled to receive. By combining competitive fishing with community support, the Perdido Key Fishing Rodeo aims to give back to those who served while bringing the Gulf Coast fishing community together.
