When firefighters arrived at 8:46 a.m., they discovered a single-story duplex engulfed in flames and heavy smoke.  Crews quickly attacked the fire and managed to bring it under control by 10:01 a.m.

During the firefighting efforts, one firefighter sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital.  No other injuries or fatalities were reported.

The duplex was destroyed by the intense fire.  The Bureau of Fire and Arson is currently investigating to determine the cause and origin of the blaze.
