Orange Beach Enhances Cotton Bayou Beach Access with Innovative ADA-Compliant Mat

Orange Beach, Ala. - (OBA) - Orange Beach has become even more welcoming with the recent installation of an ADA beach access mat at Gulf State Park's Cotton Bayou Beach Access, on the east ramp.

A collaborative effort between the City of Orange Beach Coastal Resources Department, Mobile Bay National Estuary Program, Gulf State Park, Mobi-mat, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, this new addition aims to enhance accessibility for individuals with wheelchairs or limited mobility.

Mobi-mat specializes in creating products that improve accessibility on sandy terrains. Their mat provides a stable, non-slip surface for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility to traverse the sandy beach with ease. The installation of the ADA beach access mat at Cotton Bayou Beach Access marks a significant step in making Orange Beach a more accessible destination for all.
