Orange Beach City Hall

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – As plans move forward and work continues on improvements to the recreation campus, Orange Beach is considering measures to help along the project. A renovated pool and a new pool are in the plans, along with a new Contorno Park west of the campus. Up next are items for the new pickleball courts and the tennis center.

The city council will discuss these items at a joint regular/work session meeting on Feb. 10 in council chambers at City Hall at 5 p.m.

Councilors will have preliminary discussions on purchasing LED Musco Sports Lighting for the tennis courts for $139,900. This does not include installation costs.

During the work in the area of the pickleball courts, officials found that additional site work would be needed for sidewalk repairs, fencing, and other site work for $36,431. See related story: Orange Beach recreation campus gets major upgrades
