Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — The world-famous Flora-Bama Lounge and Oyster Bar is preparing for a busy 2026 season by launching a large-scale recruitment effort. The Gulf Coast landmark, a cornerstone of entertainment and hospitality, has announced a two-day job fair to help fill more than 200 positions. Known for its live music, community events, and signature beach atmosphere, the venue is seeking motivated individuals eager to join its dedicated team. Managers say they aim to meet and hire qualified candidates directly at the event.

The job fair will take place on Friday, February 13, and Saturday, February 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Interviews will be conducted at the Flora-Bama Tent Stage, where applicants can speak with hiring managers about available opportunities. Event organizers encourage job seekers to attend early, as several positions may be filled on the spot.

Flora-Bama officials said the company currently has openings in five divisions, including the main bar, liquor store, marina, and two waterfront restaurants. Wage increases have been introduced across several kitchen roles. Dishwashers will earn $18 per hour, prep cooks and oyster shuckers $20 per hour, and line cooks $22 per hour. Management hopes the higher pay will attract experienced talent for the season ahead.

Beyond competitive wages, Flora-Bama continues to expand its employee benefits to help staff manage today’s economic challenges. Full-time workers receive health, dental, vision, and mental health coverage. “It’s an exciting time to be a part of the Flora-Bama Family,” the company stated. The business has been part of the coastal community for more than 60 years and is widely recognized for traditions such as the Interstate Mullet Toss and Polar Bear Dip.

Applicants are encouraged to apply online prior to the fair, with digital postings going live during the week of the event. Early applications allow managers to streamline the interview process during on-site meetings. New hires must complete a background check and provide documentation verifying work eligibility. Some positions require applicants to meet age-related regulations under state law. Training for new employees will begin promptly to ensure all staff members are prepared for the new season.

A variety of positions are available, including servers, hosts, bartenders, gift shop staff, maintenance workers, and door and security personnel. Managers plan to make immediate offers for select roles during the fair, providing attendees a faster path to employment.

Flora-Bama prides itself on providing a positive workplace environment. Employees enjoy live music year-round and can participate in staff outings, appreciation events, and training opportunities, including a sous-chef certification program for kitchen staff.

The venue continues to earn national recognition from outlets such as CNN Travel and USA Today, both of which have named the Flora-Bama one of the top beach bars in the world. With its mix of music, hospitality, and tradition, the establishment remains a defining part of Gulf Coast culture.

Company leaders say their goal this year is to build a strong, service-driven workforce prepared to meet the demands of another busy season. By combining competitive pay, benefits, and a lively workplace, Flora-Bama hopes to attract the area’s most enthusiastic employees as it continues its legacy on the Alabama–Florida line.
