Gulf Shores, Ala. – (OBA) – The City of Gulf Shores has applied to renew its status as a Bicycle Friendly Community with the League of American Bicyclists. To understand local bicyclists' experiences better, the city developed a public survey.

The survey aims to gather feedback from all local cyclists, whether they bike daily or occasionally. It takes just a few minutes to complete and will remain open until Tuesday, October 15. Residents are encouraged to participate by visiting the survey link: Survey Link.

Along the Gulf Coast, E-Bikes have become a rental rage. As locals drive along beachside roads, you notice the tourist taking in the scenery while riding one of the many rental bikes available in the area. The national e-bike market is tipped to generate around 51.78 billion U.S. dollars in revenue by 2029

There has also been an explosion in bicycle injuries with the increase of E-Bikes. Most of them were due to inexperienced riders on rental bikes. This has prompted some tourist areas like Hawaii to require rental training videos and E-Bike bans in certain areas. There are even Ebikes on the market which can reach speeds over 35 MPH.
