Coastal Alabama Leadership League Opens Applications for Next Class
Monthly full-day sessions give participants a behind-the-scenes look at coastal industries
Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — Applications are now open for the Coastal Alabama Leadership League, a professional development program known as C.A.L.L. The program trains local business leaders through monthly, daylong sessions. It covers topics ranging from city government to the coastal environment. C.A.L.L. has become one of the region's most recognized leadership training opportunities.
Over the past three years, 61 businesspeople from across coastal Alabama have completed the program. Graduates come from a wide range of industries and community backgrounds. C.A.L.L. is now accepting applications from professionals ready to join the next class.
Each month, participants gather for full-day sessions that explore a different facet of the coastal Alabama community. Topics include city government, medical systems, educational institutions, nonprofit agencies, tourism, and the area's unique coastal environment. The sessions offer a behind-the-scenes look at local businesses and industries that shape the region.
The program is built on the idea that coastal Alabama is the best place to live, work, and play. Participants develop leadership skills and gain a more in-depth understanding of what makes the community work. That combination of learning and connection, C.A.L.L. says, sets the program apart.
When reviewing applicants, C.A.L.L. organizers look for those who demonstrate sincere commitment, motivation, and interest in serving the community. The selection process is competitive, and not every applicant will be selected. Those who are selected join a class of peers from across coastal Alabama.
