The program will give out grants twice each year, in spring and fall. The fall cycle is open right now. Groups can apply until August 15. This announcement came on July 15, 2025.

Mayor Robert Craft said the program shows the city's support for organizations that make a real difference. He noted that the city is focused on helping those who provide key services. Craft stressed the need for resources to keep this work going.

Nonprofits can get up to $2,000 per cycle. That means a max of $4,000 in one year. Groups must help Gulf Shores residents directly. They don't have to be based in the city.

The money can go toward projects, events, or needed supplies. It can't pay for salaries or debts. Political work is also off limits. This keeps the focus on community benefits.

A committee from the city will review all applications. They look for groups with big local impact. Efficiency matters too. The best ones will get the funds.

Lindsey Hart is the contact for more details. She is the public engagement manager. Her office number is 251.968.4301. People can reach out with questions.
