Gulf Shores Airport Adds Hertz and Dollar Ahead of New Flights

Gulf Shores, Ala. – (OBA) – Hertz and Dollar will soon be available at Gulf Shores International Airport. This move comes as the airport prepares for Allegiant Air’s first flights starting May 21, 2025.

The airport announced Hertz will be the first on-site rental car provider. Hertz will operate under both the Hertz and Dollar brands. Travelers can start booking cars in early April.

“This is a big step toward improving the travel experience,” said Airport Director Jesse Fosnaugh. He said Hertz is a trusted name that will help meet the growing needs of visitors.

The airport also signed a deal with ParkMobile, a company that helps people pay for parking with a mobile app. ParkMobile is already used in the City of Gulf Shores.

Fosnaugh said these updates are only the beginning. He added the airport is working on more ways to improve ground transportation for travelers.

Construction on the new terminal is moving forward. Several new businesses are expected to open soon at the airport.

Gulf Shores International Airport plans to become a top travel hub for Alabama’s Gulf Coast. Starting May 21, Allegiant will offer nonstop flights to Kansas City, St. Louis/Belleville, Northwest Arkansas, Cincinnati, Houston, and Knoxville.
