Gale Warning Issued for Gulf Waters, Mariners Advised Caution

Navarre to Dauphin Island Brace for Gale, Mariners Alerted
Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – The National Weather Service has issued a Gale Warning for the near-shore Gulf waters from 0-20 nautical miles out and a Small Craft Advisory for the bays and sounds.
Mariners should be aware of these hazardous conditions and take the necessary precautions. They should consider altering their plans, remaining in port, seeking safe harbor, altering their course, and/or securing their vessel.
The gale warning is in effect for the following areas:
- Navarre
- Destin
- Perdido Beach
- Dauphin Island
- Buoy 42012 (Orange Beach Buoy)
- Buoy 42040 (120 miles offshore)
The these warnings will be in effect until 10 p.m. this evening.

Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – At around 2:45 a.m., Foley police responded to a burglary call on State Highway 59. Officers found a man inside the business and apprehended him.
The suspect, 52-year-old Patrick Odell Levens from Pensacola, Florida, had used a power tool to cut a hole in the back wall to get inside.
