MAAAC President Matt Fetner said the fundraising numbers were the best ever. The event featured a silent auction, DJ entertainment, and an awards ceremony. Guests enjoyed coastal-inspired gourmet cuisine and drinks throughout the evening.

The silent auction alone brought in $27,344 from 112 local donors and sponsors. Items included penthouse condo stays and commissioned artwork. Unique experiences and gift packages from local restaurants were also available.

Event sponsorships added another $4,415 to the total. Jackson & Smith CPA Group, KR Solutions, Stephen & Brandi Lewis, Abide Boutique, and Precision Payment Systems sponsored the event. Record ticket sales generated $19,700 for the MAAAC Scholarship fund.

Perdido Beach Resort provided the event space and food at no cost. The resort is a Diamond Level Sponsor, contributing $50,000 or more for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is the highest sponsorship level in the MAAAC program.

Jessie Radcliff works as Chief Marketing Officer for Perdido Beach Resort. She said the sold-out event showed strong community support for Orange Beach schools. The resort has hosted the gala for multiple years.

Two special awards were given during the evening ceremony. Craig Stephenson received the 2025 IMPACT Award for his community service. Milo and Donna Mathis won the first-ever Volunteer of the Year award.

The Mathis family has helped at MAAAC events since 2019. Their award recognized years of dedicated volunteer service. The IMPACT Award honors people who make lasting contributions to Orange Beach.

Monica Covington and Lindsey Sloan served as co-chairs for the gala committee. Local parents volunteered their time to handle event planning and decorations. The committee also managed the silent auction coordination.

Part of the money raised will fund scholarships for graduating seniors. The rest will support academic, arts, and athletic programs at Orange Beach City Schools. These programs help ensure every student gets a quality education.

Orange Beach students currently rank among the top performers in Alabama. The community support shown at the gala helps maintain these high standards. Fetner thanked all volunteers who made the event successful.

The organization encourages community members to get involved throughout the year. More information about MAAAC is available at their
