Foley, Ala. — (OBA) —  The Society of Black Hats is bringing its annual Witches Ride back to downtown Foley's streets for the seventh consecutive year. The nonprofit hosts the women-only charity bike ride each year on the Saturday before Halloween. The ride ends with an after-party at Heritage Park, which runs until 10 p.m.

The event kicks off at 5 p.m. on October 24 in downtown Foley, Alabama. Riders must be female and at least 21 years old to participate. Tickets to ride are $50 and $75 for golf carts each and are now on sale. Each ticket includes ride entry, a T-shirt, and after-party admission.

All proceeds raised benefit community betterment organizations throughout South Baldwin County. Past and current recipients include Family Promise, Lighthouse of Baldwin County, Foley Scouts Troop, Turkey Take Out, Grand Witch Charity of Choice, Foley High School, Foley Middle School, Foley Elementary School, Magnolia Elementary, and Florence B. Mathis Elementary School.

The Society of Black Hats says its mission is focused on helping women and children in the area. The group says its goal is to raise funds for organizations that keep families together. The organization expects more than 200 riders to take part in this year's ride through downtown Foley.

People who do not want to ride can still join the evening's festivities. The after-party at Heritage Park will feature live music and food trucks. A $20 donation covers entry to the after-party, and men are welcome. The event is BYOB and will take place rain or shine.

You can buy after-party tickets through the organization's Eventbrite page. For more information, email foleywitchesride@gmail.com or visit the group's Facebook page at facebook.com/FoleyWitchesRide.
