Foley to Consider Extensions for Two Subdivisions
Buffer zone planned for Juniper Street development

Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – The Foley Planning Commission will hear requests for preliminary extensions for two subdivisions in the city’s planning jurisdiction, including one where 96 homes are planned.
The commission will meet April 16 at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers at city hall.
The first request is for a six-month extension for The Knoll Subdivision located at the northwest corner of County Road 65 and County Road 16 in the city’s planning jurisdiction. The parcel is 38.87 acres and developers are planning 96 lots on it. Staff will recommend approval.
The second is from Foley Crossings developers for a six-month extension on 66.18 acres and currently subdivided into 18 lots. It is located in the northeast corner of County Road 65 and County Road 26 in the city’s planning jurisdiction. Staff will recommend approval.
During the meeting, the commission will also discuss:
- A request for a re-subdivision of a lot in the Foley Crossroads subdivision on 105.89 acres currently divided into four lots located west of the Beach Express and south of County Road 20. This is where the new Publix is under construction and staff will recommend approval.
- A request for site plan approval for Nickle Creek development located in the northwest corner of South Juniper Street and Pride Boulevard. This is planned to be a 50,000 square foot commercial and multifamily housing space on the 37.08 acres. Staff will recommend approval with conditions, including a green belt along South Juniper as a buffer to residential areas to the east.
