Fort Morgan Marina & Tacky Jacks

Fort Morgan, Ala. — (OBA) —  Local organizers are preparing for the return of a popular waterfront event at Tacky Jacks in Fort Morgan next to the Marina. The Fort Morgan Seafood Festival attracts families, visitors, and seafood lovers for a day packed with activities. The event focuses on community engagement and coastal culture. The festival offers a mix of food, entertainment, and family-friendly attractions.

The festival is scheduled for May 9 and May 10, taking place over Mother’s Day weekend. Activities will run from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Admission is free and open to the public. The event will be held at
1577 AL-180 W in Gulf Shores (Fort Morgan).

Various food options will be available, including a Low Country Boil prepared by
Tacky Jacks and other vendors. Fresh seafood will also be served straight from the boat. Guests can enjoy food and drinks at the dock while taking in views of the waterfront.

Live music will be featured throughout the event. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or a blanket. The entertainment lineup is designed to create a relaxed, outdoor atmosphere for all ages.

Arts and crafts vendors and retail booths will be set up throughout the festival grounds. Community and nonprofit exhibitors will also be present, providing information and outreach. These displays are intended to highlight local organizations and small businesses.

Families with children will find activities in the Children’s Village. The area will feature crafts, games, and interactive experiences. Organizers say it is designed to keep younger visitors engaged throughout the day.

Additional attractions include a Splash-for-Ca$h fundraiser and lighthouse cruises to Sand Island. Boaters are welcome; 30 slips are available for those arriving by water. These features complement the event’s focus on coastal recreation.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Fort Morgan Volunteer Fire Department. Organizers say community support is key to funding essential services. The event aims to combine entertainment with a meaningful cause.

Festival planners encourage attendees to bring their families and enjoy a day at the coast. With a range of activities and free admission, the event is expected to draw locals and visitors alike. Organizers say it will be a highlight of the Mother’s Day weekend schedule.
